FIRST LOVE, LAST CHANCE

Logline: A mysterious e-mail from a "first love" drives a lonely curator, a commitment-phobic transsexual tailor, and a depressed CEO to delve into their unresolved pasts, with mixed results. Romantic comedy.

First Love, Last Chance is a quirky romantic comedy about three individuals, all with the same e-mail user name but different servers, who launch searches for their lost loves after receiving the same mysterious e-mail on the same day. This anonymous letter of gratitude and celebration of first love arrives with no way to respond. Comically, each receiver finds intense meaning in the words, which evoke so powerfully and specifically the relationship each had with his or her first love, that each is swept into trying to reclaim and re-experience the lost love. In the process, the lives of the three - a lonely female curator who has trouble finding a decent male her age, a commitment-phobic transsexual tailor who refuses to treat her mate with the respect he deserves, and a depressed executive whose family is indifferent to him - intertwine in chance ways that underscore the power of fate in love and relationships. Requested by Working Title and other production companies.

ME WITH LOVE IN FALL

Logline: The lives of two seemingly mismatched couples entwine as they come to terms with their expectations of love. As a newly single mom embarks on a relationship with a free-spirited street performer, a veteran of the dating scene meets her match with her man-child admirer. Romantic comedy.

Me With Love in Fall is a romantic comedy about two different relationships that twist the boundaries and expectations of love. On the heels of her failed marriage, an ambitious nurse with a young son and a dying father finds a surprising connection with an adventurous street performer. At the same time, a hardened security guard who is a veteran of the dating scene tackles love with her boyish admirer who desperately wants kids but cannot. The story follows these tumultuous and comedic relationships from the "first kiss" to the "I love you" as the couples discover that, when it comes to the random nature of love, sometimes what we think we want is so much less than what we ultimately get.

CHIAROSCURO

Logline: While competing for the affection of an amnesia victim, two psychiatrists unearth a web of betrayal that only one will survive. Psychological thriller.

A car. A faceless woman. An accident that no one remembers. These are the threads of a nightmare that have plagued Jason Chadwick, a troubled psychiatry professor, for seven unlucky years. While he has no evidence that his nightmare ever occurred, it unsettles and haunts him. Despite this, Jason has built a flourishing career with the help of his mentor, Dr. Rosello. But on the brink of gaining tenure for his research on a memory suppression, Jason finds his life unraveling. When Dr. Rosello asks for Jason's help with an artist who possesses no memory of her past, Jason's nightmares gain new, horrific depth. Jason feels an instant connection to the woman, Antonia, whose compelling art hints at her dark secrets. Yet, as he is drawn further into her story, he begins to question his own possible role in her sordid past. He soon discovers that nothing is as it seems. Drawn together by their own "tragic luck," Jason and Antonia must now weed out truth from lies, risking their love and the fragile fabric of their lives.
